Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has revealed that at least 10 women have reconciled with their partners after reaching out to her for guidance on forgiveness and family restoration.

Dikeh made this known in an Instagram post while reflecting on her reconciliation with her former husband and the impact her personal experience has had on other women facing similar challenges.

The actress said hundreds of women had contacted her since her reconciliation with her ex-husband, asking how she learned to forgive, although she was unable to respond to everyone individually.

“While I couldn’t reply to everyone, I reached out to those whose pain mirrored my own,” she said.

According to Dikeh, her conversations with some of the women have resulted in at least 10 reconciliations, restoring peace within families, healing strained relationships and helping couples embrace healthier co-parenting.

“Today, to the glory of God, at least 10 women have been reconciled, restoring peace, healing hearts, and stepping into healthy co-parenting,” she wrote.

Dikeh said she now sees her personal experience as a tool for helping others overcome bitterness and move forward from painful experiences.

She urged women struggling with resentment to embrace forgiveness, arguing that it ultimately benefits the person who chooses to let go rather than the individual who caused the hurt.

“If you are carrying bitterness today, please hear this: Forgiveness is never for the person who hurt you; it is for you. It is the key to moving your life forward,” she said.

The actress also stressed that people should not seek to inflict pain on others simply because they have been hurt, describing the decision to release emotional burdens as a personal responsibility.

Dikeh further said genuine closure comes from God rather than from other people, expressing faith that painful seasons can eventually become testimonies.

“True closure doesn’t come from people, it comes from God,” she wrote.

She concluded by praying for women seeking peace, healing and restoration in their families, asking that her experience serve as a source of hope for others going through similar challenges.
