Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna ( Sardaunan Gombe) on Wednesday, officially submitted his Letter of Intent to contest for the position of Governor of Gombe State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A statement signed by his media aide, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, on Wednesday, said the submission was duly made at both the Ward and Local Government levels, in line with the party’s laid-down procedures and democratic processes.
Speaking during the brief ceremony at the party state secretariat in Gombe, Gwamna emphasized that his decision was driven by a “New Vision for Continuity and Sustainability.”
This vision, according to him, is anchored on consolidating existing achievements, while introducing innovative policies and programmes that would ensure long-term development, inclusive growth, and improved welfare for all citizens.

He reaffirmed his commitment to good governance, transparency, and people-oriented leadership, noting that his administration, by the grace of God, would prioritise peace, unity, economic growth and development, youth and women empowerment, as well as sustainable infrastructural advancement.
Gwamna called on party faithful, supporters, and the general public to rally behind his vision as the journey towards a more prosperous and sustainable future begins.
Responding, Mr Mohammed Dantata Ndus, the Gombe State Chairman of APC, wished Gwamna well in his ambition to govern the state while emphasising the need for unity amongst members towards ensuring victory for the party from top to bottom in the forthcoming general elections.
