2027: ‘Peter Obi Does Not Know ADC’s Manifesto’ – Bolaji Abdullahi

The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has claimed that former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, does not know about the opposition coalition’s manifesto.

Naijaonpoint reports that Abdullahi made this known during an interview on ARISE Television’s Prime Time programme on Monday.

Speaking on the developments surrounding Peter Obi’s defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his familiarity with the party’s positions on key national issues, Abdullahi said Peter Obi was never interested in the ADC manifesto.

According to him, the ADC had invested considerable time in developing its policy direction, but Peter Obi did not engage with the process during his association with the party.

He said, “We set up a manifesto committee that worked for about two to three months to develop a document that clearly outlines what we will do differently.

“You may invite His Excellency Peter Obi here and ask him, what is the ADC position on fuel subsidy? What is the ADC’s framework on security? He doesn’t know, because he’s never been interested.”

Abdullahi further alleged that some politicians are more focused on securing party tickets than engaging with ideological frameworks.

He added, “They are just waiting for the tickets to be handed to them. If you say you want to contest the election, and you believe in changing the country, you should know what your party stands for.”
