President Bola Tinubu, on Saturday emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primaries in the primary election in Agege Local Government Area.
DAILY POST reports that President Tinubu won in all the 11 wards of the LGA.
Mr Abiodun Mafe, the Returning Officer in the LGA, said that President Tinubu won with 226,280 votes.
Mafe commended the high turnout of party members, saying it reflected the general confidence in the administration of Tinubu.
“The turnout of our members is very encouraging; it shows that President Tinubu is well accepted by everyone in the party and beyond.
“Our people trooped out this morning and they came to exercise their franchise as members of the APC. This is very encouraging,” he said.
The APC party chieftain also urged members to continue mobilising support for Tinubu in their various communities.
“We want them to tell people in their communities about the great performance of our president to ensure his re-election.
“As you can see, we are happy that all our council chairmen are doing well, especially in Lagos State; they are doing well, they are complementing the effort of the Tinubu administration in delivering the dividends of democracy,” he said.
