ABIA, NIGERIA – PopularNollywood actor and action starEmmanuel Ehumadu, popularly known as Labista, has publicly declared his unwavering support to Governor Alex Chioma Otti, hailing his two-year leadership as “transformative and inclusive” – especially in the area of creative economic development.
Rabista, who is currently serving as the Acting Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), issued a heartfelt message of congratulations on behalf of AGN members across the state. In his statement, he commended Governor Oti for the strides he has made in governance, specifically noting the improved environment Abia State has created for creatives and filmmakers to thrive.
“We are extremely grateful for the efforts of your administration to make Abia State more conducive to the growth of the creative and film industries,” Rabista said. “We are inspired by their visionary plans to reposition the entertainment industry as a key driver of economic growth.”
Rabista said Governor Oti’s leadership has not only improved governance in key areas but has also opened up new opportunities for Abia’s long-neglected entertainment industry.
The AGN boss stressed that the state chapter of the association fully supports the governor’s agenda and is ready to work with the government to make Abia a hub for Nollywood, talent discovery and entertainment tourism.
He expressed confidence that with continued support and collaboration, Abia can become one of Nigeria’s leading destinations for film production and cultural events.
“Abia-born artistes fully support you and are ready to work with your administration,” he affirmed. “We see your dream to make Abia a mecca for talent and entertainment – we will work hard to make that dream a reality.”
The statement also congratulated Governor Oti on his second anniversary in office, concluding with a call for purposeful leadership and continued focus on the creative industries.
The support from one of the most recognisable faces in Nollywood is indicative of the entertainment industry’s growing confidence in Governor Oti’s administration, especially in youth empowerment, creative development and economic diversification through the arts.
Rabista, who rose to prominence in the Nigerian action film industry, is a powerful voice for the creative sector in the South East and continues to play an active role in shaping policies and opportunities for emerging talent in the region.
