A professional-Peter Obi help group, generally known as the Obidients Movement, has referred to as on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to drop his presidential ambition and throw his weight behind the previous Anambra State governor forward of the 2027 elections.
The attraction was made on Saturday throughout a mega rally in Umuahia, Abia State, held to mark Mr. Obi’s sixty fourth birthday.
Speaking to journalists, the chairman of the rally’s organising committee,
Chibuzor Obiesili mentioned the group believes Obi stays the most effective candidate to rescue the nation from its present challenges.
“We thank those behind the formation of the coalition. We appeal that the coalition should consider Obi as its presidential ticket because he has the national appeal needed to uproot the ruling APC,” Obiesili mentioned.

He praised Atiku and different opposition leaders working to construct a united entrance in opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid however insisted that stepping apart for Obi can be Atiku’s best contribution to Nigeria’s future.
“We plead with Atiku to please step aside for Obi. Atiku has tried his best for Nigeria, but his greatest sacrifice and gift to Nigeria will be to support Obi get the ADC presidential ticket in 2027 so that Nigeria can move forward,” Obiesili added.
The group expressed confidence that with Obi because the flagbearer, the opposition stands an actual probability of unseating the incumbent administration in 2027.
