President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mrs. Omotenioye Majekodunmi because the Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC).
She succeeded Dr. Nkiruka Madueke, who led the Council since its inception in June 2024, in response to an announcement from Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Majekodunmi, a seasoned local weather finance skilled and environmental lawyer with over 17 years of expertise, brings a wealth of experience in renewable power, carbon markets, and local weather governance.
