Dangote Cement Plc has expanded its scholarship programme past her fast communities’ to cowl different communities in Oworoland, Lokoja LGA, Kogi State.
Speaking on the scholarship award ceremony in Obajana on Monday, the Plant Director, Azad Nawabuddin, defined that though the Oworo communities don’t fall immediately inside the firm’s catchment areas, Dangote Cement had chosen to increase its generosity by extending her CSR actions, most particularly scholarship scheme to Oworo college students utilizing the broader attain and credibility of Oworo Development Association (ODA)

Mr. Adeyemi mentioned the preliminary 50 college students for the 2025/26 session had been chosen with the lively help of the Oworo Development Association, with different key stakeholders.

He added: “To our young beneficiaries, I urge you to see this scholarship as a challenge to excel. Work hard, remain disciplined, and make your community proud. The opportunity before you today is a seed, nurture it well so that one day you will give back to others.”
The Association’s President prayed for extra blessings from God for Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
Speaking additionally, the Kogi State Commissioner for Education who was represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Mrs. Omolayo Bilkisu, mentioned the federal government of Kogi State believes in a Public Private sector partnership to maneuver the State ahead, including that the federal government is happy with the help the corporate is providing to the communities via its schooling and empowerment programmes.
