FAAC Windfall: FG, States, LGs Share N2.1trn as September Revenue Surges

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a complete sum of N2.103 trillion from the September 2025 Federation Account Revenue to the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils.

The allocation was made on the October 2025 FAAC assembly held in Abuja. According to a communiqué issued on the finish of the assembly, the full distributable income comprised N1.239 trillion statutory income, N812.593 billion Value Added Tax (VAT), and N51.684 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

The communiqué said that N3.054 trillion was the full gross income accessible in September 2025. From this quantity, N116.149 billion was deducted for the price of assortment, whereas N835.005 billion was put aside for transfers, interventions, refunds, and financial savings.

Gross statutory income for September 2025 stood at N2.128 trillion, representing a lower of N710.134 billion in comparison with the N2.838 trillion recorded in August 2025. However, VAT income rose to N872.630 billion, larger than the N722.619 billion recorded within the earlier month by N150.011 billion.

From the full distributable sum of N2.103 trillion, the Federal Government acquired N711.314 billion, States acquired N727.170 billion, and Local Government Councils acquired N529.954 billion. An extra N134.956 billion (13% of mineral income) was shared to the oil-producing states as derivation income.

Breakdown of the distributable statutory income of N1.239 trillion confirmed that the Federal Government acquired N581.672 billion, States acquired N295.032 billion, and Local Governments acquired N227.457 billion, whereas N134.956 billion went to the derivation states.

Out of the N812.593 billion VAT income, the Federal Government acquired N121.889 billion, States acquired N406.297 billion, and Local Governments acquired N284.408 billion.

Similarly, from the N51.684 billion EMTL, the Federal Government acquired N7.753 billion, States acquired N25.842 billion, and Local Governments acquired N18.089 billion.

FAAC additional famous that income from Import Duty, VAT, and EMTL recorded vital will increase in September, whereas Companies Income Tax (CIT) and CET Levies decreased significantly.
