The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has mourned the passing of a chieftain of the party, Dr Isiaka Ayodele Owoade, describing it as shocking, tragic and a monumental loss to the party and the state.
The chairman of the APC in Osun, Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party spokesman, Kola Olabisi, on Wednesday, stated that the news of the death of Dr Owoade in Britain was almost unbelievable, as there was no prior information stating that he was indisposed.
Lawal stated that the party would greatly miss the deceased, who was a former Special Adviser in the state Ministry of Lands, especially his robust contributions during the state government weekly executive meetings.
Lawal explained that it was painful that Dr Owoade, who hailed from Ikire, could quit this world when his contributions and experience were mostly needed to contribute his quota to develop the state.

He recalled how the deceased successfully combined academic excellence with exemplary political and social activities, which earned him an appellation of ‘Babalaje’ from his admirers.
The state APC chairman stated further that the sudden death of Dr. Owoade wasn’t a monumental loss to Ikire alone, his home town, but to the whole state and the academic communities beyond the shores of this nation.
In Lawal’s words: “The demise of Dr Owoade in faraway Britain today was calamitous, as many of us who were close to him are yet to come to terms with the reality of the unfortunate news.
“On behalf of our party in Osun State, I am particularly extending my condolences message to the governorship candidate of our party, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO, who hails from the same town as the deceased; the Akire of Ikireland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olayiwola Tajudeen Akinola, Aketula 1; the biological and political families of the deceased; his friends and relations over the death of their loved one.
“By all standards, the late Dr. Owoade was a fulfilled man as he came, he saw, and he conquered, as his contributions to the development of the state when it mattered in the history of the state are written in gold.
“May Allah repose the soul of the departed and grant his widow, the children, the siblings, friends and relations the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of their patriarch”, the state party chairman prayed.
