Former military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, and the Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago, on Wednesday joined thousands of Muslim faithful at the Eid praying ground to observe the two-rakat prayer marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Worshippers trooped to the praying ground early in the morning for the special prayers held as part of activities commemorating the festival.
The Eid prayer attracted a large turnout of residents, religious leaders, government officials and other dignitaries who gathered to celebrate the occasion in an atmosphere of peace and devotion.
