The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun-Alli, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the flag-off of the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road, describing the project as a major investment in trade, mobility and economic development across the South-West.
Alli, who spoke after witnessing the flag-off ceremony, said the vital road corridor linking Oyo and Ogun states would strengthen access to Lagos and boost economic activities in communities along the route.
He commended the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, and his team for driving the project, saying the intervention would have significant benefits for Oyo State.

According to him, improved connectivity to Ijebu-Ode and Ago-Iwoye would provide fresh impetus to industrial clusters, farming communities and commercial centres across the state.
Alli said the project would reduce travel time, facilitate the movement of goods, create employment opportunities and attract further investment to the corridor.
He urged the contractor to deliver the project to the highest standard within the agreed timeline, while appealing to host communities to support its successful execution.
The senator said the road project represented the kind of sustained infrastructure investment needed to improve the lives of Nigerians and drive development across the region.
