The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate within the upcoming November 8, 2025 election in Anambra State, Chioma Ifemeludike, has pledged to boost the state’s minimal wage to ₦100,000 if elected.
Ifemeludike stated the promise was not mere marketing campaign rhetoric however a practical and achievable plan aimed toward bettering employees’ welfare and boosting productiveness throughout the state.

“On education, we reaffirmed our plan to revamp our schools by updating curriculums to meet modern standards and building infrastructure that supports quality learning. We will strengthen both formal and informal education, ensuring that every child, youth, and adult in Anambra has access to opportunities for growth and skill development.”

“This is not a political promise but a practical commitment. By cutting unnecessary government expenses and investing wisely in agriculture and internal revenue growth, we can achieve this and sustain it,” she added.
She additionally added that her marketing campaign stands for inclusivity and equity, stating that individuals with disabilities is not going to be unnoticed of governance; they may have a voice on the decision-making desk.
“I stated clearly that my administration will appoint qualified persons with disabilities to the cabinet because good governance must represent everyone.
“The reaction from the audience at the debate was deeply encouraging. Ndi Anambra connected with our message because it was not built on abstract promises but on practical, measurable, and human-centred plans.
“We did not just give them hope for a better Anambra, we showed them how we intend to build it,” the assertion concluded.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, 16 candidates from 16 political events are contesting the governorship race on November 8, 2025, with the incumbent governor and the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chukwuma Soludo, in search of reelection.
