The All Progressives Congress has congratulated a party chieftain and Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Fidelis Okenmor Chukuyenum Tilije, on his 68th birthday, describing him as a technocrat with a record of impactful public service.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by its Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, the party praised Tilije’s contributions to governance and the financial sector.
The APC noted that Tilije, a graduate of the University of Lagos, holds a master’s degree in corporate finance and has undergone executive training at top global institutions, including Harvard Business School and Oxford Business School.
It added that his career spans several leadership roles within Nigeria’s financial industry, with affiliations to professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
The party further stated that Tilije has played a key role in the Delta State Executive Council, serving under former governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the current governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, where he has contributed to advancing fiscal discipline and economic growth.
According to the APC, his efforts align with the state government’s M.O.R.E Agenda, with a focus on infrastructure development and inclusive economic policies.
The party commended his integrity and service to Delta State, particularly the Ndokwa nation, and wished him good health and continued success.
