The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC consolidated its majority place within the Ondo State House of Assembly on Tuesday with two lawmakers elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Felix Afe and Tope Agbulu, becoming a member of its ranks.
With the defection of Afe, member representing Akoko North-West 2 and Agbulu represents Akoko South-West 2, APC now has 24 out of 26 members within the Assembly.
On the opposite hand, the variety of PDP lawmakers was diminished to 2.
The two lawmakers introduced their defection from PDP to APC of their separate letter learn on the plenary by the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr Benjamin Jayeola.

NAN studies that the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria(PASAN), Ondo State Chapter had given a 21-day ultimatum for the implementation of CONLESS by the state authorities.
The Majority Leader of the House of Assembly, Mr Olatunji Oshati(Ose/APC), stated that the non implementation of CONLESS within the state was a matter of public curiosity, including that the legislative arm had taken it upon itself to intervene.
Oshati appealed to Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa to contemplate the agitation of the Assembly employees.
He added that different states within the South-West had carried out the wage construction for the employees of their respective Houses of Assembly.
The majority chief, subsequently, urged the employees to train extra persistence and permit intervention of the Assembly for a peaceable decision.
Similarly, the Speaker, Chief Olamide Oladiji, requested the Assembly employees to not take legal guidelines into their arms however enable dialogue as an alternative of confrontation .
Oladiji, who counseled the persistence of the employees, guarantee them that the Assembly’s management would focus on with the governor for a decision.
He stated that the implementation of the wage construction would enhance capability and effectivity of the employees.
