APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Receives Affirmation With 450,517 Votes In Gombe

Out of the 550,516 registered members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State, 450,517 members overwhelmingly voted for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during Saturday’s Presidential primary election in the State.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya announced this shortly after collating the APC presidential primary election results from the eleven Local Government Areas of the state.

The Governor, who commended party faithful and stakeholders at the APC collation centre for their massive participation in the exercise, also described the election as peaceful, transparent, and a clear demonstration of the people’s confidence in the APC administration.

“As you can see, in my capacity as the APC Presidential Primary Collation Officer and President Bola Tinubu’s coordinator for Gombe State, I have successfully collated the results from all the eleven local government areas where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo contested for the presidential ticket.

“Gombe State has a total of 550,516 registered APC members. After collating and summing up votes cast across the eleven local government areas, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured an overwhelming 450,516 votes, while Mr Stanley Osifo recorded zero votes”, the Governor stated.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the outcome of the primary election sends a strong message that the people of Gombe State are united, resolute, and fully committed to the continuity of the Tinubu administration beyond 2027.

He emphasized that the unprecedented support recorded during the exercise is an indication of total acceptance of President Tinubu’s leadership style and developmental strides across the country.

“I am speaking not in my capacity as Governor, but as the duly appointed Collation Officer for the APC Presidential Primaries in Gombe State. I will proceed to Abuja to officially submit the results to the party’s national secretariat,” he added.

In his remarks, the Gombe State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Mohammed Dantata Ndus, described the exercise as historic and a major milestone in the party’s march towards victory in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the peaceful and successful conduct of the primary election further proves that the APC in Gombe State is united under the purposeful and visionary leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya.

He expressed confidence that the overwhelming endorsement of President Tinubu by APC members across the state would translate into a massive electoral victory for the party in 2027.

The APC chairman also congratulated all party flag-bearers who emerged victorious in the primaries and appealed to those who could not secure tickets to join hands with the party leadership in the collective quest for the APC’s success at the polls.

The collation process was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Umar Mukhtar Gajiram, alongside heads of security agencies, election observers, and members of the media.

Also present at the event were the APC governorship candidate, Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, senatorial and House of Representatives candidates, as well as senior party figures and key stakeholders.
