APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Scores 161,005 In Abia, While Osifo Gets 1,007

The presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been concluded in Abia State, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receiving a total of 161,005 votes, while his rival, Mr Stanley Osifo, got 1,007 votes.

Announcing the outcome of the primary, Abia State Returning Officer for the presidential primary, Rt Honourable Benjamin Kalu, said the exercise was rancour-free as members saw the need to allow President Tinubu to return to Aso Villa to complete his achievements.

Kalu, who is the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, enjoined APC party faithful to ensure that Tinubu wins in their various states in 2927.

Kalu, who announced the result at the party secretariat in Umuahia, believed that the president has done well since he assumed the leadership of the country, stressing that the only way to encourage him to do more for Nigerians is to re-elect him in 2027.

Before the presidential primary, witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies and Stakeholders, was declared Returning Officers from each ward in 17 LGAs of the state took their turns to announce the results of their Wards before the Presidential Primary Committee for Abia State finally announced the total result.
