Apply: UGO Fellowship 2026 Cohort for Young African Leaders

Applications are now open for the UGO Fellowship Programme 2026, a Pan-African leadership initiative aimed at developing young, impact-driven leaders in the green economy across the continent.

The programme, organised by Universal Greening Organisation (UGO), is a three-month intensive fellowship designed to equip participants with practical skills in sustainability, innovation, and ethical leadership while fostering cross-border collaboration.

The fellowship is open to applicants from Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.

About the Programme

The UGO Fellowship Programme offers a structured and immersive learning experience that goes beyond theory. Selected fellows will undergo training in:

  • Personal Development
  • Ethical Leadership
  • Social Entrepreneurship
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Community Development
  • Sustainability
  • Diplomacy, Etiquette, and Protocol

Participants will engage in practical, community-focused projects aimed at solving real-life challenges within their environments.

A key highlight of the programme is the international exchange experience across UGO partner countries. This provides fellows with the opportunity to interact with diverse cultures, expand their networks, and gain a broader global perspective on sustainable development.

The organisers describe the initiative as more than just a fellowship, positioning it as a movement shaping Africa’s future leaders.
