Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has opened u on the impact Lagos had on his career and growth as an artist.

The 31-year-old who who relocated to Lagos after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ille-Ife, revealed that the city helped him transition into becoming a man.

Asake, while speaking with Spotify, explained that most of his songs were inspired by the city of Lagos.

“Lagos taught me how to live like a man. Lagos inspired most of my songs,” he said.

The artist also noted that there are some individuals more talented than him that are yet to be recognised. He expressed his appreciation to God for granting him talent and favour to become a global star.

“I’m happy because there are a lot of people who make music out there and a lot of people who are more talented than me. I’m thankful to God that I’m able to use the talent He gave me -not only locally but also globally. So for that, I give all thanks to God,” he added
