The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has felicitated the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 70th birthday.
Atiku, in a message shared on his official X account, congratulated the Sultan on behalf of his family and prayed for his continued good health, strength and wisdom in providing leadership to the Muslim faithful and the country.
“On behalf of my family, I warmly felicitate with His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, on the occasion of his 70th birthday,” Atiku said.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to bless the Sultan with “robust health, enduring strength and greater wisdom” as he provides what he described as “exemplary leadership and guidance” to Muslims and Nigerians.

“May Allah grant him many more years of distinguished service to humanity. Amin,” he added.
The former Vice President also described the Sultan’s leadership and guidance as significant to the Muslim faithful and the nation at large.
The Sultan, who is the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has continued to play a prominent role in religious and national affairs, particularly on issues concerning peace, unity and development.
