Former Vice President, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, on Monday cast his vote at his polling unit in Ajiya Ward, Jimeta-Yola, during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries.
The exercise, which attracted party officials, delegates and supporters, was conducted under tight security and in an orderly atmosphere as the party commenced the process of electing its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, a frontline aspirant in the contest, arrived at the polling unit amid cheers from supporters and party faithful.
Party officials described the process as peaceful, transparent and in line with the party’s electoral guidelines.
The ADC Presidential Primaries are expected to produce the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.
