Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ending many years of affiliation with the opposition social gathering he helped discovered.
Atiku, who was the PDP presidential candidate within the 2023 basic election, confirmed his exit in a letter dated Monday, July 14, 2025, and addressed to the social gathering chairman of Jada 1 Ward in Jada Native Authorities Space of Adamawa State.
