Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged victorious in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primaries conducted in Kano State.
The chairman of the electoral committee, Dr. John Ayuba, announced that the exercise was held across the state’s 44 local government areas and 484 wards.
According to the collated results, Atiku secured 155,595 votes to defeat his closest rivals. Mohammed Hayatu-Deen garnered 15,914 votes, while Rotimi Amaechi polled 9,994 votes.

Dr. Ayuba stated that the results would be forwarded to the party’s National Coalition Centre in Abuja for ratification and the formal declaration of the party’s presidential candidate.
He also called on party members to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections and work collectively towards ensuring the party produces Nigeria’s next president.
Meanwhile, the ADC has postponed the announcement of results for its Kano governorship primaries pending directives from the party’s national leadership.
The governorship contest is between Ibrahim Ali Amin Little and Malam Ibrahim Khalil, as the party considers adopting a consensus arrangement to determine its flag bearer.
