A fuel tanker has burst into flames on the Lagos-Sagamu Road, sending thick black smoke into the sky and triggering panic among motorists and other road users.
The incident prompted an immediate emergency response from Babcock University’s Fire Service, which raced to the scene to battle the flames.


The university’s Security team also moved in to secure the perimeter and prevent civilians from getting too close to the burning tanker.
Firefighters worked to contain the inferno as security personnel controlled access to the affected area and helped protect road users from the danger.
The cause of the fire and the extent of any casualties or damage were not immediately available.
