Big Brother Naija Season 11 organisers on Sunday night honoured late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, with a special tribute during the live eviction show.
The tribute was led by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who reflected on the actor’s contribution to Nollywood and his impact on the Yoruba film industry.
Hassan, who died on August 23, was buried on Monday, August 24, in his hometown in Ogun State. His death prompted tributes from fellow actors, fans and other members of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
During the tribute, Ebuka encouraged viewers to remember the late actor for his decades-long contribution to Nigerian cinema, his cultural influence and his role in supporting and mentoring younger talents.
Ogogo was widely recognised for his work in Yoruba-language films and television, with a career spanning several decades.

His death came as the ‘Show Ya Sef’ edition of BBNaija entered its sixth week, with the programme continuing its tradition of using its live shows to acknowledge prominent figures and address issues of public interest.
The 2026 edition premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for the N160 million grand prize.
