BREAKING: Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo Allegedly Shot By Unknown Assailants — Photo And Video

Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya and ex-Gender Minister Sarah Adwoa Safo has allegedly been shot by unidentified individuals, according to breaking reports circulating on social media.

Images accompanying the reports show a black Toyota Land Cruiser, bearing what appears to be an emergency siren on its roof riddled with multiple bullet holes across its body and windows, suggesting the vehicle was targeted in what appears to be a deliberate attack.

A separate image shows the former MP receiving medical attention for visible injuries, with wounds apparent on the neck and upper body area.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the alleged shooting including the location, time, the number of individuals involved, and the current condition of the former MP remain unconfirmed at the time of publication.

Adwoa Safo, a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics who served as Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister under the Akufo-Addo administration, gained significant national attention in 2022 when her prolonged absence from Parliament became a flashpoint in the NPP’s slim parliamentary majority crisis.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet issued an official statement on the incident. The full circumstances of the alleged attack are yet to be independently verified.
