Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has raised serious concerns over the audacity of Justice Peter Lifu of the federal high court, Abuja.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X account on Saturday June 20th, 2026 he pointed out that when the order issued by the appeal court was brought to his notice, he declared that no one can challenge his judgement.
Justice Peter Lifu, it can be recalled, had been on the spotlight for the wrong reasons following his decision to give a judgement, ordering INEC to deregister four political parties, including the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Chidi Odinkalu, widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that by disregarding the order issued by the appeal court, Justice Peter Lifu was showing a form of judicial rascality.
Justice Peter Lifu’s brazen comment that no one can challenge his judgement, also according to the former NHRC boss, indicated that the federal high court judge might be compromised.
