Speaking during an appearance on the Morayo Show, Bwala criticized some opposition figures, including the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi. Bwala also claimed that foreign flags were displayed in parts of the country during the unrest and that international attention, including comments attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump, increased the pressure on the Tinubu administration.
Comparing Tinubu’s leadership with that of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Bwala referred to the controversy involving Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho. He alleged that during Buhari’s administration, soldiers were sent to kill Igboho after he made certain remarks, adding that very few leaders would have exercised the level of restraint Tinubu has shown under similar circumstances.
