According to a report by DAILY POST on Tuesday 7th July 2026, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested Professor Bello Abubakar, the personal physician of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over allegations of misleading the anti-graft agency during an ongoing investigation.
According to reports, Professor Abubakar was taken into custody after he allegedly informed the ICPC that El-Rufai was receiving medical treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja; The commission is said to have discovered that the medical visit was allegedly not used solely for the purpose presented to the authorities.
