According to a report by The Sun, on Thursday June 25, 2026, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has declared that criminals can no longer operate freely in the state, saying new security investments have strengthened the government’s ability to detect, investigate, and prosecute crimes.
Mbah made the statement during the inauguration of the Centre for DNA Forensics and Criminal Investigation at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu, the facility was established through a partnership involving the Enugu State Government, the university, and the Nigeria DNA Learning Centre.
