According to a report by Daily Post, on Friday July 3, 2026, a Kaduna-based lawyer, Al-zubayr Abubakar, has questioned the independence of Nigeria’s key institutions, alleging that they are increasingly influenced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during an interview on JKD TV, Abubakar expressed concern about what he described as the growing concentration of power around the President, he argued that public officials and institutions that are expected to serve all Nigerians should not be perceived as working for a particular political leader.
