According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, July 4, 2026, Col Ahmed Usman (rtd), Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State on Security, in an interview with our correspondent, Olakunle Maruf, provided insight into the ongoing security challenges confronting Sokoto State and the government’s continued response to insecurity.
He explained that the state government has been working in close coordination with relevant security agencies to address threats posed by criminal groups operating in various parts of the state, while also strengthening intelligence gathering and operational response mechanisms.
