According to a report by Daily Post, on Saturday July 18, 2026, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, has accused the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, of using claims about threats to his life as a political strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, Obi has repeatedly raised concerns about his personal safety in a manner that appears aimed at gaining public sympathy and strengthening support among members of the Obidient Movement.
