According to report by Vanguard on Friday, June 26, 2026, Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has claimed that there are deliberate efforts to stop him from contesting the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking at Madonna University in Okija, Anambra State, Obi alleged that certain forces within the Federal Government are working to ensure his name does not appear on the ballot, but insisted that such plans would ultimately fail.
