…Donates brand new car to principal of abducted school
A non-profit organization, BSA Diaspora Vanguard North America Chapter, has commended the Oyo State APC Governorship Candidate for the 2027 General Election, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, for his swift and compassionate intervention in support of victims of the Oreiire kidnap incident in Ogbomoso.
In a statement released by the group’s leadership, BSA Diaspora Vanguard described the gesture as a reflection of true leadership, empathy, and commitment to the welfare of citizens, especially in times of crisis.
Background to the Incident
On May 15, 2026, gunmen invaded a school in Oreiire, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and abducted several students and staff members, including the school principal. The vehicle belonging to the principal was also burnt during the attack.
The incident sparked outrage across the state and drew condemnation from stakeholders. Following days of intensive security operations, the Federal Government of Nigeria confirmed the rescue of all abducted victims. The rescued victims are currently under the care of the Oyo State Government for proper medical attention, psychological support, and rehabilitation before being reunited with their families.
Barr. Alli’s Intervention
As part of efforts to bring succour to those affected, Barr. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, a legal practitioner and grassroots politician, took a bold step to support the principal of the affected school. He presented her with a brand new car as a replacement for the one destroyed during the kidnap incident.

BSA Diaspora Vanguard North America Chapter commended both the Federal and Oyo State Governments for the joint efforts that led to the rescue of the victims. The group also prayed for the quick and complete recovery of all those affected.
The organization further called on political leaders, public office holders, and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Barr. Alli’s example by supporting victims of violence and insecurity across the country.
