The Flying Antelopes secured the victory in a tense encounter after the second leg ended 1-1, leaving the aggregate score level.
Rangers had also played out a 1-1 draw with the Beninese champions in the first leg on September 6, 2026, at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.

Chidozie Iwundu put Rangers ahead in the 32nd minute before Emmanuel Ali equalised for AS Soemape early in the second half.
With neither side able to find a winner across the two legs, the tie was decided by a penalty shootout, where Rangers held their nerve to win 5-4.
The result sends the Nigerian club into the next round of the CAF Champions League as they continue their continental campaign.
