KàdàràBrite has announced a new round of applications for its university scholarship programme targeted at orphans and vulnerable young people in Nigeria.
The organisation said interested applicants are expected to complete an online application form and carefully read all instructions before submitting their entries.
According to KàdàràBrite, the scholarship programme is competitive and only candidates who strongly meet or exceed the requirements will move to the next stage of the selection process.
Applicants who are shortlisted will proceed to a video interview stage and will later undergo a validation process.
The organisation explained that the verification stage will include visits to orphanages or children’s homes, as well as meetings with guardians to confirm applicants’ eligibility.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify for the KàdàràBrite scholarship programme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be an orphan or vulnerable person residing in a registered orphanage
- Be enrolled in a federal or state university, or have an admission offer
- Not be older than 27 years at any point during the application year
KàdàràBrite also noted that some scholarships listed on the platform may come with additional eligibility conditions, which applicants can find on the application form.
Application sections
The application form contains six compulsory sections applicants must complete.
These include:
- Basic Information
- Academic Results
- Extracurriculars and Work Experience
- Essay Questions
- Personal Statement
- Reference
The organisation advised applicants to prepare their essays and short answer responses in advance using a word processor before starting the online application.
Applications are not automatically saved, meaning incomplete submissions may be lost if applicants leave the page before submission.
