Secondary schools and sixth-form colleges across Nigeria have been invited to apply for the TINE Africa AI & Technology Competition, part of the TINE Africa Changemakers Conference 2026 (#TACC2026), with up to N500,000 in cash prizes available for winning entries.
The competition, themed around “Global Education and the Future of Africa,” is designed to showcase student-led innovation, particularly AI-driven and technology-enabled solutions addressing real-world challenges. Selected schools will have the opportunity to present their projects at the main conference before a panel of judges, including industry leaders, policymakers, and education stakeholders.
The TINE Africa Changemakers Conference is widely recognised as a platform for young African innovators, bringing together talent, leadership, and forward-thinking ideas shaping the continent’s future.

How to apply
Schools are required to submit entries through a structured process:
- Complete the school application form with student and teacher details
- Submit a two-page project proposal outlining the problem, solution, AI/tech component, and expected impact
- Attach a supporting visual, which could be a slide deck, poster, or a short video (maximum of three minutes)

- Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 6 May 2026
- Shortlist Notification: Wednesday, 13 May 2026
- Conference and Contest Final: Wednesday, 20 May 2026
The event will take place at the Victoria Garden Conference & Event Center.
