Canada has issued 3,500 invitations to candidates to apply for permanent residence through its latest Express Entry draw, targeting workers in the Healthcare and Social Services occupations category.
The draw was held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:16:45 UTC, according to the Canadian government.
Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475 and had to meet the eligibility requirements for the targeted category to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Where candidates had the same CRS score of 475, priority was given to those who had submitted their Express Entry profiles before May 26, 2026, at 00:26:14 UTC.
To qualify for the latest draw, candidates had to meet the requirements for the Healthcare and Social Services category and be eligible for at least one of the three economic immigration programmes managed under Express Entry.
Express Entry is Canada’s main system for managing permanent residence applications under its economic immigration programmes.
Canada conducts general, programme-specific and category-based draws. Category-based draws target candidates with skills or experience in areas identified as economic priorities.
The latest round therefore does not mean every Express Entry candidate with a CRS score of 475 received an ITA. Candidates also had to meet the specific requirements for the Healthcare and Social Services category.
Those who received an ITA can proceed to submit a complete application for Canadian permanent residence.
