A high-speed police chase in the Netherlands ended with a car crashing at a McDonald’s restaurant near Udenhout in North Brabant.
The incident happened at around 4am after police began chasing a Volkswagen Golf in Eindhoven.
According to police, the three people inside the car were suspected of being involved in cargo theft.
During the chase, the Volkswagen reportedly reached speeds of around 250 kilometres per hour.
Because of the extremely high speed, police officers decided to keep some distance while following the vehicle.
Around 30 kilometres away, the car eventually left the N65 near Udenhout and crashed at the McDrive of a McDonald’s restaurant.
The vehicle then caught fire, and firefighters were called to put out the flames.
The three people inside the car managed to get out and ran into a nearby field.
Police launched a major search involving dozens of officers, police dogs and a helicopter.
Two suspects were initially arrested.
Police later confirmed that the third suspect had also been found and arrested.
