Deputy Senate President, Dr. Barau I. Jibrin has distributed 47 cars and 282 motorcycles to his constituents in Kano North Senatorial District in what he described as continuation of his mega empowerment programme in tandem with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The beneficiaries included chairmen and secretaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 13 Local Government Areas of Kano North Senatorial District, the headmasters’ forum, senior secondary school principals’ forum, and junior secondary school principals’ forum, among others.

The mega empowerment was designed to boost mobility, improve outreach, and promote self-reliance among beneficiaries.

The cars and motorcycles were distributed in Kano on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Senator Barau said the initiative was part of his continued commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents and supporting grassroots mobilisation efforts within the APC.

Barau who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Ibn Abdullahi, explained that the empowerment programme was designed to enhance economic independence among beneficiaries while also improving mobility for party operations and community engagement.

He urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the items, noting that the gesture was intended to promote productivity, unity, and loyalty within the party structure.

Senator Barau, represented by his Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, said the gesture was aimed at lifting beneficiaries out of poverty and promoting self-reliance.

He urged the beneficiaries not to sell the items but to use them productively to generate income.

The Kano State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Malam Salihu Sagir Takai, who also spoke at the event said the intervention was in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

” This initiative is part of Senator Barau’s continued interventions in human and capital development in Kano North and beyond. This is not the first time he has carried out such an intervention, and it will certainly not be the last,” he said

Several party stakeholders who spoke at the event expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful in strengthening the political base of the APC in Kano North.

The event ended with calls for sustained unity and cooperation among party members, as Senator Barau reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more developmental and empowerment initiatives in the district.

The Deputy President of the Senate had lined up a series of interventions under his mega empowerment programmes to boost economic growth in Kano North and Kano State at large.
