Carter Efe, skit maker has emerged victorious over street-pop artiste Portable after a tense celebrity boxing bout held at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event in Lagos.
The fight, staged on Friday night at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, ended in a unanimous decision in favour of Efe, with all three judges scoring it 27–30 against Portable.
The defeat marks Portable’s first loss in celebrity boxing, ending his previously unbeaten run.
Portable entered the ring with confidence, boasting of extending his winning streak after earlier victories over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.
Before the bout, he had declared: “I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you and I beat them. I will beat you now.”
However, Efe responded calmly ahead of the fight, saying: “One punch and you fall.”
Once the contest began, Portable started aggressively, throwing wide and erratic punches, but Efe remained composed, absorbing pressure and countering with cleaner and more accurate strikes.
As the fight progressed into the second round, Efe began to take control, landing sharper combinations while Portable continued to rely on wild swings and clinching.
By the third round, Efe had fully established dominance, consistently connecting clean shots until the final bell confirmed his victory.
The result crowns Carter Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion, bringing an end to Portable’s short-lived reign in the sport.
