American singer Cassie Ventura is reportedly receiving assistance from the ex-girlfriend of a male escort in defending herself against a federal lawsuit.
Clayton Howard, a male escort, has filed a lawsuit in federal court against Cassie and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
According to court filings, Howard alleges that he was contracted to engage in sexual activity with Cassie during events previously referred to in media reports as “freak-offs.”
Howard claims this resulted in him contracting an STD and claims related to a pregnancy, which he says led to an abortion. He further alleges that he suffered sexual abuse causing mental harm.
TMZ reported that Francyna Owens, Howard’s former girlfriend, contacted Cassie’s legal team after learning of the lawsuit. Owens reportedly told Cassie’s team that Howard has a history of filing lawsuits and described a “pattern and practice of filing abusive and frivolous lawsuits.”
Cassie’s lawyers incorporated this information in a motion seeking to dismiss the case. In the filing, her legal team noted that Howard “is no stranger to the legal system” and “often uses it to pursue personal vendettas and rectify perceived wrongs,” citing previous legal actions he has taken against other individuals and organisations.
Cassie previously settled her separate lawsuit against Diddy in 2023 for $20 million, following allegations of sexual misconduct against the music executive. She has since relocated outside the United States.
The allegations in Howard’s suit are claims made by the plaintiff, and no determination of their truth has been made in court. Diddy and Cassie have denied wrongdoing in this matter.
