The management of Dangote Petrochemical Refinery has announced that it has resumed the sale of petrol in naira.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the company on Wednesday, July 22, in Abuja.
The statement read: “Dangote Petroleum Refinery has resumed the sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in naira, providing a measure of relief to marketers and consumers.
“The gantry price is fixed at N1,215/ litre.”

Recalls that last week, Dangote had started selling some refined petroleum products in dollars. According to the dollar gantry or ex-depot pricing template circulated to marketers, petrol was sold for $0.779 per litre; diesel, $1.087 per litre and aviation fuel for $0.942 per litre.
The development increased the prices of some petroleum products, especially petrol.
The development led to a price spike as petrol prices rose between N1200 to N1280 in Lagos.
The price also went higher in many other states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
