Political leaders, traditional rulers and prominent statesmen gathered at the MUSON Centre in Lagos to celebrate the 100th birthday of Afenifere National Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
The centenary celebration attracted dignitaries from across the country, including Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, and former Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
President Bola Tinubu was represented by the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, representing Governor Biodun Oyebanji; Minister of State for Health, Dr Iziaq Salako; Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr Kayode Ajulo (SAN); and former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
The traditional institution was represented by prominent royal fathers, including Oba Olu Falae and the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III.
Tributes were paid to the centenarian throughout the ceremony, with speakers highlighting his integrity, wisdom and contributions to society.
Oba Olu Falae described Fasoranti as a man of impeccable character who continues to positively impact lives.
Similarly, Osoba praised the elder statesman for his enduring legacy of integrity, wisdom and steadfast leadership.
