An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 struck Bhutan on Sunday, with its epicenter located 26 km from Gangtok and 87 km from Thimphu, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
The earthquake, recorded at a depth of 10 km, sent tremors across the Himalayan region, with shaking felt in India, China, Nepal and Bangladesh.
