Retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, renewed hope and deeper compassion among Nigerians as Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In his personal message on Wednesday in Abuja, Marwa described Eid-el-Kabir as a period that reinforces the values of sacrifice and compassion.
Marwa said the Eid season offers a moment for reflection on the values of sacrifice, faith and humanity.
He noted that those virtues were essential in strengthening national cohesion and advancing the collective goal of building a safer and healthier society.
The NDLEA boss added that the celebration should serve as a reminder of shared responsibility and commitment to national wellbeing
He, however extended warm greetings to its officers, men and women, stakeholders and the general public, praying for peace, joy and abundant blessings during the celebration.
“Warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to all dedicated officers, men and women of the NDLEA, our valued stakeholders and the general public.
“May this sacred season of sacrifice, faith and compassion strengthen our unity, renew our hope and inspire us to continue building a safer and healthier Nigeria for all.
“May this sacred season soften our hearts, renew our hope and strengthen the bond we share as one people. Wishing you and your loved ones peace, mercy and countless blessings,” he added.
Marwa urged Nigerians to embrace the lessons of the season, noting that sacrifice, compassion and faith remain the true paths to humanity.
