Eid-el-Kabir: NASC Chairman Urges Sacrifice, Unity, National Development‎

‎The Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Saviour Enyiekere, has felicitated with Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithful, on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, stressing the importance of sacrifice, love and dedication to national development.

‎In a statement issued to commemorate the celebration, Chief Enyiekere described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival symbolising sacrifice, obedience, love and devotion to Almighty God.

‎“On this joyous occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim faithful and indeed all Nigerians as they commemorate this sacred festival of sacrifice, obedience, love and devotion to Almighty God,” he stated.

‎The NASC chairman noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant period in the Islamic faith, reminding humanity of the virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, including unwavering faith, selflessness, obedience and total submission to the will of God.

‎According to him, these enduring values continue to provide guidance and inspiration for building a stronger, more united and peaceful society where all citizens can flourish.

‎He urged Nigerians, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political affiliations, to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance, love and mutual understanding in the collective pursuit of national unity, peace and development.

‎“As we celebrate this important festival, I urge Nigerians to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance, love and mutual understanding in our nation’s journey towards national unity, peace and development,” he added.

‎Chief Enyiekere further called on citizens to continue playing active roles towards sustaining peace and promoting the development of the country.
