Emir of Gombe celebrated at 12th anniversary

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, has commended the impactful leadership of the Emir of Gombe, His Royal Highness , Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, as he marks his 12th anniversary on the throne.

Gwamna, who also holds the traditional title of Sardaunan Gombe, described the Emir—who doubles as the Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs—as a compassionate and people-oriented leader who connects deeply with his subjects regardless of their social or economic status.

According to him, the Emir’s 12-year reign has been marked by sustained efforts in promoting peaceful coexistence, empowering thousands of youths, and supporting the overall development of Gombe State.

He further lauded the Royal Father for his significant contributions to improving access to education, particularly through initiatives that support orphans and vulnerable children to pursue their dreams.

“The Emir deserves to be celebrated for attaining 12 years on the throne and for his remarkable contributions towards making Gombe more peaceful, progressive, and prosperous. We must give thanks to Almighty Allah for sparing our lives to witness this great milestone,” Gwamna stated.

He prayed for more fruitful years for the Emir on the throne, asking Allah to grant him continued good health, wisdom, and strength in the service of his people.

Gwamna also congratulated the entire Gombe Emirate and called on the people of the state to emulate the Emir’s philanthropic spirit in building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
