Martinez replaces Sanchez in goal
Martinez’s inclusion means Robert Sanchez drops out of the starting XI after coming under scrutiny following Chelsea’s opening-day victory over Fulham. Mike Penders, who started in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Luton Town, is named among the substitutes.
Wesley Fofana returns to competitive action, while Levi Colwill, Maxence Lacroix and Jorrel Hato complete a three-man defensive unit.
Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia and Morgan Rogers all retain their places, with Joao Pedro leading the attack.

Fernandez misses out again
Enzo Fernandez is once again absent from the matchday squad as speculation over his future continues.
The Argentina midfielder was also left out of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup victory over Luton after Manchester City showed interest in signing him before the transfer deadline. His continued omission adds to uncertainty surrounding his position at Stamford Bridge.
Brighton arrive in west London in confident mood after opening their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.
